The traits traditionally used to define races – such as skin color, hair texture, eye shape, and facial features – don’t consistently co-occur in the ways that racial classifications suggest they should.
For example, an individual might have physical features associated with one racial category along with features typically associated with another. This overlapping nature of traits creates countless combinations that don’t fit neatly into any predefined racial category, challenging the very concept of distinct races.
